On December 5th, we’re celebrating our second birthday! And on our special day, we’re doing what’s just as important as celebrating self-care – looking after each other.
For every product purchased on our birthday, we’ll donate $10 to Ocean Conservancy, the Child Mind Institute, or the body: a home for love.

In celebration of our second birthday, we’re highlighting the work of a few inspiring charity organizations. In the sustainability sphere, Ocean Conservancy works tirelessly to take care of our ocean. The Child Mind Institute is dedicated to bettering the lives of children battling mental health challenges. the body: a home for love is reshaping culture around how black women heal from sexual trauma – drawing on wellness, art, and storytelling.
Below we share a little more about each of these organizations. When you purchase any of our products on our birthday, select the charity you’d like us to donate to, and for each product sold on December 5th, we’ll donate $10 to one of these nonprofits.
Ocean Conservancy
Ocean Conservancy works with you to protect the ocean from today’s greatest global challenges. This organization believes that together, we can create science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
Child Mind Institute
The Child Mind Institute is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. The Child Mind Institute works every day to deliver the highest standards of care, advance the developing brain’s science, and empower parents, professionals, and policymakers to support children when and where they need it most.

the body: a home for love is a community-based non-profit that’s shifting culture around how black women heal from sexual trauma. Through wellness, art, and storytelling, they empower women to reclaim their narrative. the body: a home for love is committed to helping black women heal through joy.
Looking Back
Birthdays are a time when we typically reflect on how a year has passed. Looking back, a few Napperhood highlights worth celebrating come to mind.
A kid-sized Napper
Early-on in 2020, we launched our kids weighted blanket, the Nappling. Not only did this expand our current weighted blanket product collection, it paved the way for a new retail partnership with Pottery Barn Kids.
New seasons, new partnerships
Since then, we’ve also released three new collections: our Tree Napper Summer Collection, our Cotton Napper Fall Harvest Collection, and our sublimely soft Eco-velvet Wintry Gems Velvet Napper collection. Over and above our seasonal editions, we enjoyed the company of gourmet popsicle brand, The Hyppo in launching the limited-edition Napsicle and health food brand, This Saves Lives for a collaboration that helped us all reshape our Halloween rituals.
Mindful shopping is the new black
We also launched our Black Napper, encouraging a mindful shift in the typical e-commerce experience with our #sleeponit campaign, on Black Friday
